 I was surprised when I played this to find they used the full-length LP version timed at 4:18, not the US 45 edit (2:57). Which easily makes it the longest UK #1 on 78rpm, and I would reckon the longest UK hit on 78rpm - I didn't even think you could fit anything that long onto a 78! (Although "El Paso" by Marty Robbins at 4:40 could be the longest UK 78rpm hit - depending if they edited it or not - supposedly it did come out on 78 here.)
