Searching the hive-mind that is the internet, found some more info. (The Pathe-Marconi terms helped there, thanks!)

The Swing label was created in '37 by Charles Delaunay (Le Hot Club de France) with distribution from Gramophone-Pathé-Marconi. Published its first catalogue (leaflet really) in November '37, the first jazz label. (Delauney in '48 founded also the Vogue label, btway.)

The matrix numbers could suggest that still the recording means of HMV were used. Till then the Swing artists had been recording on La Voix de son Maitre. The UK release of the SW.8 record as an HMV swing music series suggests a working relationship there.

Ah, but the merger was 1931 afaik? That's when also the HMV 102 gramophones got the very clever auto-brake that was patented by Columbia, only the very first '31 machines have the more clunky HMV work-around auto-brake.

But indeed on the record itself no hint whatsoever to EMI or any other company.

A close-up reveals no mention of Pathe-Marconi(the French division of EMI), particular so because this issue predates by one year the merger of Columbia Graphophone Company and The Gramophone Company to form EMI, so, in all likelihood there was, as of that time, no Pathe-Marconi company.

Was the French 'Swing' label an EMI created / related label?
Matrix numbers in the same OLA series that the HMV Swing Series already used in at least 1936.
