Notes

Recorded by Paddy Ryan of the Unity Theatre supposedly issued in 1939. The Workers Music Association was formed in 1936 and so even if this date is wrong it must have been around about this time.

Fokeman 25th Apr 2022		The record cannot date from before 1939 since this was first published only in 1939 when the music was printed by the Workers Music Association. It may have been within months that the record was issued. The tune is traditional and was arranged by Alfred Roberts but the words are by the Unity Theatre actor, Paddy Ryan.
