 And CBS, when they purchased ARC, inherited Mills' production entity - several early "red" Columbia singles had "Produced by Master Records, Inc." on the bottom of the label, the prefices 'WM'. ('W' presumably referred to World Broadcasting Service, which CBS unloaded, and Decca scooped up, in 1941.)

 I'm not convinced that this session is produced by Master Records Inc. Rather, it's an ARC production. Irving Mills transferred his rights to the ARC in October 1937. This recording has not - as far as I know - been released on Mills labels during this time (Master or Variety). So this session should have originally been released on this record (Vocalion 4061) ... I think
