 Cab Calloway is a long-time favorite of mine. When he was on he was very on. Moreover, he had one of the three or four best swing-jazz bands of the day working for him. The vocals on this disc are not among Calloway's best, nor are the lyrics particularly compelling. The band gets a fair work-out, though, with solos for the sax and trumpet to the fore. That's enough to make it a solid 7, anyway.
