Linda Ronstadt - BiographyAmerican singer (born 1946), who rose to stardom in the mid-1970s after toiling for several years as the lead singer for a folk-rock group and later as a moderately successful solo artist, before her breakout single, "You're No Good" and a string of albums that featured a fusion of rock and country, made her one of the top female rock/pop singers. A musical polymath, she later branched out into opera, avant garde, big-band, Mexican-themed, and jazz recordings. Forced to retire from music in the early 2010s due to the onset of ill health.
