Ultimate Music Catalog - Unlisted (2000)
I bought this from Nina's Oldies in Pennsylvania. It contains all labels and categories including classical, and advises ordering thru your local channels. Of course Nina's is an all-inclusive mail-order retailer who either stocks or can order much of this.
I don't know the history of any other editions.

Jack K. Paquette - Small Town Girl (2013)
What caught my attention was Teresa Brewer's story. The author was from East Toledo same as her and knew her background. I'm posting an excerpt about how she started with the Bowes Amateur radio show.
I'm looking for clearer information. She started at age 5, apparently winning a local audition contest. This would have qualified her to appear on the national radio show in New York. She did not appear there until age 7 in late 1948.
Was she travelling cross-country with a show between those years?

Adam Nedeff - The Matchless Gene Rayburn (2015)
He says that there were 20 labels that put out recordings of Music, Music, Music at the time, even before Teresa's. That would make a good subject for research, forum, list etc. The first issued recording of it was by Etienne Paree, a speak-sing style with a French accent, which was viewed poorly.

Adam Nedeff - The Matchless Gene Rayburn (2015)
The story that brought me here is that Rayburn as a New York morning radio host in 1949 tried a gimmick to get a raise. He said he could make a hit of any song by featuring it on his program. He then looked for the worst song he could find, and thought that would be "Music, Music, Music". There were many cover recordings of it made after he played it. Then he got Teresa Brewer to record it. Sure enough.
Teresa's London label only put it as the B side to Copenhagen, an oldie jazz-pop hit, which was not going to get Teresa far. Released in December 1949.

Joel Whitburn - Joel Whitburn's Pop Memories (2015)
This is not an anthology of anything. If anything it is a compilation of data, but that is not a classification. It's a reference.

Paul Hemphill - The Nashville Sound (1970)
Who knows who the arrangers were for the Nashville Sound recordings in the early 60s, like the strings for Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline?

RCA's Nashville studio was even called the Nashville Sound Studio. They were probably the best example.

Joel Whitburn - Joel Whitburn's Hot Country Songs (2013)
7th ed had the B sides. Some other editions substituted that with the A songwriter.

Book
Joel Whitburn - Joel Whitburn's Pop Memories (1986)
Notice on page 125 songs like Are You Lonesome Tonight by Vaughn DeLeath from 1927, and I've Told Ev'ry Little Star from 1933 by Jack Denny.
This book had a couple of printings and that's it.

1982 Price Guide Records Rock And Country - Dell (1982)
These are partial listings. At the time it was the first book I could find that listed Clyde McPhatter's records. That was a sore point. Other books like Jerry Osborne's treated him as if he had ONLY existed as part of the Drifters.
A small paperback of 235 pages.
