janiejjones 27th Feb 2017		Book J. R. R. Tolkien - The Lord Of The Rings (1995)	OldMod, practice (and key fields) suggest barcode/ISBN change is a new entry, publishers of course also. Continuous publication by the same publisher of the same format would be summed under the same release for each re-print, including changes of cover design. What I am not sure about, and has not been answered yet, is how to work the introduction of ISBNs, and later barcodes, because any book from up to the late 20th century will look silly with an ISBN or barcode. (As do all books, and especially records, in my opinion. I hate barcodes and myriads of logos defacing these items)

Thanks to your bringing this up I now changed mine (was early days for this site) to current standards (Co-authors and International due to the endless list of Penguin companies). And that "auto-link" function is really nice, especially with translations picking up English originals (if entered, of course....)

janiejjones 23rd Oct 2016		Book P. G. Wodehouse - Big Money	We run into a problem here. this is clearly an International Penguin release from around 2000, with all it's prices and companies listed. Also a barcode. But first Penguin release from 1953 clearly would not have all this. my uneducated guess would be that P. G. Wodehouse would always be in print from then on, running through all the design phases of the publishers. So basically, would any issue from let's say between 1953 and 1970 without ISBN and barcode get it's own release page?

The linked paperback most likely is the first pocket edition from 1987, this, with changes to ISBN and barcode, will have a different print year in its impressum.
