nboldock 4th Oct 2015		Rated 9/10 Really good book, this. I've actually read through it two or three times since I bought it. It's chronological, which works really well... though the inclusion of The Spice Girls' first album (the final piece in the book) always bemused me slightly (albeit I see the intended point). Otherwise there are some really great pieces (each album is examined in detail) on 99 other albums that will be, mostly, well known to users of this website... though there are one or two perhaps surprising selections that keep things interesting. It's not all populist stuff either - The Master Musicians Of Joujouka being the least predictable selection, perhaps... 1 person found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
