 Very badly translated by Burkhard Busse who hasn't got a clue about the subject matter

 First published in the US in 1978, this was the first real serious in depth look at the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson in print, by someone who was close to the band, Brian in particular. Factual, and largely uncritical, it stands as a benchmark read on the band. An expanded edition was issued in 1986.
