The Beatles returned to England in late February 1964 after their first American visit, becoming actors for their film debut, eventually titled "A Hard Day's Night" from one of drummer Ringo Starr's malapropisms. John Lennon wrote the song in mid-April, after the title had been publicized. Shooting of the film at various locations, including more than a working week on a moving train, is retold on a daily basis. The movie parodies and documents some of their touring experiences, both with fan hysteria and ironic situations, including some fantastic twists. Images
