Collection of swords-and-sorcery novellas featuring the character of Jirel of Joiry (a forerunner of Red Sonja), originally published between 1934 and 1939 in Weird Tales magazine. These stories were previously collected in a different configuration as the book Jirel of Joiry in the late 1960s. Introduction by Suzy McKee Charnas.

ppint. ● 20th Sep 2023		nothing whatsoever to do with the two-dimensional red sonja, who (possibly paradoxically, in view of her hollywood representation) is rather flat. - if anything, the fantasy comic heroine most akin to jirel is redfox, especially during the period when chris bell was writing the plots and scripting the issues of this comic - for valkyrie comics).
