WPLives 26th Jul 2021		Volume 1 in this series (originally published in 1964 and reprinted here in 1978) covers all PE cars that were used in local service and the lighter interurban service. Cars are presented in numerically ascending order except that the 5050 class is properly aligned with the 600 class and so precedes the 5000 class. Illustrated throughout with black and white photos with schematic diagrams on the same or a facing page. Unlike the 1964 edition, the Mail Call section has been replaced by pictures of PE's PCCs and Hollywood suburban cars.



WPLives 28th Jul 2021		Interurbans Special #37, Voume 23, Number 2, Summer, 1965. Covers all PE cars which performed as combos, RPO cars, box motors, suburban locomotives, interurban locomotives, diesel locomotives, tower cars and service cars. All the cars which were used in the freight and service fields. Pages 449 to 760 with historic photographs, car diagrams and rosters. (this comment is from another edition of this book)



WPLives 27th Jul 2021		Volume 2 in this series (originally published in 1965 and reprinted here in 1976) covers all interurban and deluxe PE cars -- the glamour cars that provided high-speed, long-distance train service between the growing cities of Southern California. Cars are presented in numerically ascending order: 800, 950, 1000, 1100, 1200, 4500 (300), 4600 (400 and 450), and the deluxe cars. Illustrated throughout with black and white photos of exteriors and interiors as well as schematic diagrams. The Mail Call section has been replaced by corrections for Special 28 (which covered PE's City and Suburban cars) which did not appear in the 1975 edition; corrections to the 1965 edition of this volume have been inserted directly into the text.
