ppint. 14th May 2019		near-identical editions/printings sharing merkin-printed covers and hence also cat#, cover art by john berkey (credited ''berkey'' on back cover) cover price 60¢ 192pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising refer to indica to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed. no priority established, nor liable to be, both state first printing---may 1968

ppint. 14th May 2019		sphere books first p/b edition and first uk p/b 1973 near-identical editions/printings bearing this cover art: cover art uncredited, unsigned, believed to be by eddie jones cover price 30p, 1.00c australia, 1.00c new zealand, 1.25c canada (- !!) so should be re-flagged "international" according to respected moderator's rule 160pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising refer to indica for presence/absence of line stating second printing, but also note: sphere logo on front cover has lost the round-cornered square box, typography for title and author drop in size and title is now yellow, and on rear cover, cover price 30p, 95c australia, 95c new zealand, $1.25 canada (further sphere books editions/printings bear other cover art, cover prices rising from 65p, and different isbns: third, fourth: 1977, 1979 cover art by peter elson (isbn 07221-4418-0, 07221-4480-6) fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth printings: 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984 cover art by peter elson retained, isbn 07221-4506-3 retained on all .. ? .. 1987 cover art by ?, isbn 07221-4506-3 retained .. ? .. 1991 now successor company macdonald futura/orbit but still sphere books isbn 07221-4506-3, possibly sphere elsewhere in/on book, still sphere books typesetting, 160pp. Including titles, indica etc, 3 end pp. advertising; cover art by ian miller) .. ? ..
