(bookcat searches etc. will not sort titles correctly if extraneous additional spaces are interpolated.) (- nor, indeed, if the space after the period (full stop) following an initial is omitted - so "w. e. johns" won't be sorted or searched for if it's incorrectly entered as "w.e. johns" or as "w.e.johns" when a book by him is added to bookcat/45worlds.)

(people seem divided as to whether this was a "complete novel", a "short novel" - or perhaps a novella.) 8/12/1977 second penguin books printing with new cover art by joe petagno (credited as j. petagno on back cover) isbn 0-14-002689-4 (incorporates original cat#) cover price 60p, australia $1.75 224pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising considerably revised and expanded (berkley books, new york 12/1978 & ff.): but the next penguin printing is still of the unrevised version: 1985 penguin third printing with new cover art by alan craddock (unsigned, credited on back cover slightly tyopped as allan craddock) cover price £1.95 isbn 0-14-002689-4 224pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising this thrid penguin printing also distributed with non-peelable black label on back re-pricing it: label price £2.99, $4.95 australia label also partly obstructs bar-code, but iiuc the ''90000'' does not specify any retail price, anyway (this comment is from another edition of this book)
