First edition. Novelization of a 1993 BBC Radio play based upon the TV series, with Letts adapting his own scripts. One of the first in a series of novelizations based upon the TV series and spin-off productions to be published under the Doctor Who Books imprint, but on the title page it is identified as No. 156 in the Target Doctor Who Library, continuing the numbering of the Target Books series. A standalone release not considered part of the then-current Doctor Who: The Missing Adventures Line (some later novelizations were published under that line). Cover art depicts Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith and Nicholas Courtney as Brig. Lethbridge-Stewart. 266 pages.
