ppint. 2nd Jun 2022		the editorship of this book is^W was wrongly attributed: it was not edited by edmund cooper, nor by roger lancelyn green, nor by edmund cooper and roger lancelyn green: these should be deleted from the editor and co-editor fields. it was almost certainly edited by lin carter, and is attributed to him as editor by bibliographer robert reginald.

ppint. 13th Feb 2018		anthology edited - almost certainly - by lin carter, who wrote the introductions, advised betty ballantine and is credited with editing the "unicorn's head" ballantine adult fantasy series. editorship of this book is attributed to lin carter by robert reginald. two near-identical printings/editions sharing merkin-printed covers and hence sbn9 & cat# and cover art by gervasio gallardo cover price $1.25 224pp. including titles, indica, introductios etc. refer to indica to check if the carcass of the copy you hold was printed in the usa or canada. no priority established nor now liable to be, both state first printing: november 1971

"double phoenix" is not a work of fiction by edmund cooper, nor one by roger lancelyn green, nor by the two of them in collaboration. nor are the works it contains by a collaboration of the two authors. it is a "double" (or a paperback anthology edited anonymously, presumably by lin carter q.v.) containing two separately-written short novels/novellas. if it didn't bear a single title, the two would be catted separately here on "bookcat", each under its one single author, with links referring from one half to t'other. something similar ought prob'ly to be done here; ummm. . . it's a double, but since it has its own title, ergo, it's also an thology.
