ppint. 10th Jan 2020		ballantine books mmpb near-identical printings sharing merkin-printed covers, first edition cover art by nik puspurica (signed "puspurica") cover price 35¢ 144pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising refer to indicia to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed no priority indicated, both stating only © 1960 publishing history of ballantine books 1969 second mmpb edition/printing provides separate dates which presumédly apply to these two first printings - but which may not (!), if there was a distinct canadadian-printed & merkin- or canadian- printed-covered first printing variant.
