I have spent over sixteen years researching, interviewing, and writing. People like Artie Kornfeld creator of Woodstock have shared their intimate thoughts on why Woodstock, the world's greatest rock event, is not recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. GOD CODE PEACE aims to uncover the religious subterfuge that attached itself to the counterculture and spawned Christian martyrs like Mark David Chapman. How the 1960's "American Dream" that Fonda and Hopper sought, was an ethereal ploy formed by British strategists to break down US military build-up in opium rich south-east Asia. How John Lennon retaliated against his detractors and lashed out, exposing Alan Watts as a "Mind Guerilla." Watts died in San Francisco the same day Lennon's Mind Games album was released on November 16, 1973. Lennon was in Los Angeles at the time.

On that day, sequestered without telephone contact and within the confines of an adhoc ashram in North Wales, Lennon and the Beatles were being guided by Maharishi to "Just be happy", an emotion that entirely did not ring true. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who became world famous and exceptionally wealthy as the founder of Transcendental Meditation, had bouts in an earlier career as a used car salesman. The Beatles later alleged that he was a fraud and a sexual pervert. Epstein's suicide fallout sent the Beatles scurrying for safe-haven, Paul to a secluded farm in Scotland, and John to Bed-ins in Amsterdam and Montreal, and eventually landing in the USA. Upon entering the United States, John Lennon was purposely inconvenienced and aggravated by continual surveillance and humiliation from US and British forces. The FBI and MI6, respectively, were co-operating based on FBI files released to Jon Wiener, Professor of History at the University of California Irvine, and author of the book “Gimme Some Truth: The John Lennon FBI Files.” Jon Wiener noted in his book, "The document described by the FBI as a "Letterhead Memorandum" from the Legal Attache in London was said to contain "information provided by a foreign government." Release of the information on this page, the FBI claimed from 1983 though 2006, "can reasonably be expected to inter alia: lead to foreign diplomatic, economic and military retaliation against the United States." Lennon said in 1970 to reporters, “I'd open the door, there'd be guys on the other side of the street. I'd get into my car, and they'd be following me in a car. Not hiding. They wanted me to see that I was being followed.” He went on further to say to Jann Wenner in a Rolling Stone interview, “We knew we were being wire-tapped, there was a helluva lot of guys coming in to fix the phones.”

I don’t entirely understand why, some curiosity as a fan, some psychic disposition - perhaps a sense of injustice - trying to catch the wave of Lennon’s enormous spirit. Inspired by Oscar Handlin’s book “Truth in History”, I have read exhaustive music and film biographies, magazine articles, Internet sites, and record album notes. I’ve also conducted interviews with pop stars and rock journalists like Ronnie Hawkins, Ritchie Yorke, and Bob Gruen, people who knew John Lennon and lived with him. My new book is titled GOD CODE PEACE - The American Counterculture and Christian war on John Lennon. As the world watched on New Year’s eve 2012 at 11:56pm Cee Lo Green sang John Lennon’s “Imagine” and changed the lyrics dealing with religion from “No religion too” to “All religions true”. This change drew world-wide criticism. While Cee-Lo Green is not an ordained minister he is the son of two clergy -- preacher man and preacher woman -- he's got the God trade in his bones. But even when disguised as a budding pop star, Cee-Lo's body language and vocal cadences -- the exaggerated motions and melodic leaps, the straight-up testifying -- are all about preaching the gospel. In November of 1980, less than a month before his murder, John Lennon recorded a song entitled “Serve Yourself.” “You say you found Jesus.
