Huntington -- one of the "Big Four" who founded what is now the mighty Southern Pacific railroad. Henry, too, was a Southern California institution: tycoon, builder, art collector, benefactor of the world-famed library which bears his name. This book is about the Red Car system -- the Pacific Electric -- and the man who stated it all: Henry Huntington. It's a pictorial with a big bonus: a listing of the routes, telling where the cars went and how frequently they operated.
