ppint. 18th Sep 2018		collection of seventeen short stories (one neither fantasy nor sf) and three novelettes three near-identical editions/printings sharing merkin-printed covers, cat# N445 and number-string 380-00445-095 on spine (nor sbn nor isbn; last three digits = cover price in cents), cover art (unattributed, unsigned) cover price 95¢ 304pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising refer to indica to see whether carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed and, if merkin-printed, for the presence or absence of a line stating it is the 1/1973 third printing; it would appear that the simultaneous canadadian-printed first printing was retrospectively accounted the second printing, which practice was common to many merkin mmpb-publishers... (fourth printing not yet seen/noted by yr hmbl srppnt., nor seen report of details; may have been retrospectively deemed to've been a simultaneous canadadian-carcassed 1/1973 third printing, if such was produced.) fifth printing 4/1975 retains cover art, but bears cat# 24737 and cover price $1.50 (dated by end pp. adverts) sixth printing (date ?) retains cover art & cat# 24737, cover price $1.50 bears number-string 380-24737-150 on spine (not sbn nor isbn; last three digits = cover price in ¢) seventh printing /79 retains cover art; new cat# 44081 & isbn 0380440814, cover price $1.75 (dated from end pp. adverts)
