Originally scheduled for publication on 28 May 2020, the author reported on 29 August 2021 that the book & the publisher were being held hostage by John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono.

JPGR&B SUBS 23rd Dec 2021		Comments from Michael "Tree" Medeiros (aka Mike Tree) from Beatles Book Collectors Facebook Group: Mike Tree Tuesday 12 May 2020: Sorry to say, Diversion Books has delayed the release of my book, "In Lennon's Garden." Yoko has challenged its publication, and Diversion Books lacks the financial power to disputer her claims in court. I want to thank everyone for the enthusiastic reception-not sure what's next. Mike Tree Yes, a ton of money. This is why Diversion Books has withdrawn. Yoko sent them a C/D letter with an NDA that I allegedly signed some 40+ years ago. It does not state a term of its effect or countersigned by J/Y. Even crazier, I was not an employee of Lennono Music on the date of the NDA. Mike Tree I began at Lennono 4/1977 as a contractor; the alleged NDA is dated 11/79; I only learned about it in 2011 when I had a website. Lennono organized? I asked YO lawyers for copies of my plant invoices; lawyers say can't locate; no surprise; invoices would prove I wasn't an employee. I am 81 yrs. Mike Tree I have no ax to grind with Yoko or Sean or anyone. My memoir is simply a recording of what I witnessed/experienced. Let the reader be the judge. I'm 81 yrs, not a psychologist or psychiatrist but my judgment is just as good as those with letters after their name. I believe the Yoko Ono I experienced is a narcissist and John Lennon had serious parental issues (no surprise) which Yoko played. Dealing with anyone on a short term basis, a few days, several months does not reveal the person. But after several years the vail drops. Mike Tree Wednesday 22 December 2021: Please remove the Diversion Books image of "In Lennon's Garden" from the publisher's Facebook page. The company no longer represents my book. I haven't heard from the publisher in over 20 months, despite repeated letters and emails.
