ppint. 9th Oct 2021		this is apparently the definitive - presumably, the definitive english language translation - edition there was a previous translation into english by ann zwick little, brown and company (uk) abacus imprint p/b first printing, apparently first edition of this translation cover art: photograph of kon-tiki (1949 (iirc) by one of the crew, but he's not credited; to be looked up) cover price £8.99 (recommend only; no other price) 352pp. including six unpaginated pp. titles, indica etc, 12 end pp. index + 16 unpaginated gloss paper pp. plates (42 b+w photographs) = 368pp. in all this edition is classified in the isbn & bar-code, number block by little, brown as fiction - i've no idea why.
