ppint. 6th Feb 2018		half ace books mmpb first printing, first edition half a classic "ace double" format mmpb with two front covers, contents tête-beché to each other cover art unsigned; i'm pretty sure it's by jack gaughan, but i've not yet spotted his digraph - which could easily be hidden in the swirled, overlying straight & curled coloured lines on the bird) (?space corvid?) b+w interior illustration by jack gaughan, signed "jg" cover price 60¢ ½ 256pp. including 2 x titles, indicia etc, advertising pp. in-between the double's halves doubled with "destination: saturn" by donald a. wollheim (writing as by "david grinnell") and lin carter, q.v.
