ppint. 6th May 2022		the bar-code number as entered is incomplete and does not identify this book: it lacks the last element that encodes the book's cat#: 070999 00250 31158 the first element iiuc identifies the mmpb publisher's main merkin news wholsalers/distributor, which may be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the megacorpse that owns the mmpb publisher; the second element gives the merkin cover price in cents the third gives the cat# and is the only part identifying the book (later on, merkin usage of the bar-code number started to encode the entire isbn10 first, with the cover price in cents in the final element.)
