half a classic "ace double" format mmpb with two front covers, contents tête-beché to each other

cover art by gray morrow (signed, credited)

no date of publication stated in the indica.
copyright date (of both titles in the double) quite reasonably taken as year of publication, but source of the month given = ?

first sequel to "a feast unknown" (1969), q.v.


doubled with the second sequel, "the mad goblin" (1970), q.v.
with which its events run together in parallel
