 Detailed history of the electric cars on the Los Angeles Railway prior to the arrival of Huntington and the Standard Cars. Covers single truck (open, closed and combination windows), double truck, and service cars. The author talked to former LARY employees and so the text provides detailed information on the strengths and weaknesses of the different models. Illustrated throughout with black and white photos showing Nos. 1-229 (the last car purchased before the arrival of the Standards). With rosters, chronology, and map. 72 pages.
