| ppint. 19th Jul 2019 | i've read it stated online that hitchcock wrote the very brief introductions to the nine short stories and three novelettes in this reprint anthology edited by peter haining selectng stories from alfred hitchcock's mystery magazine. this would have been well out of the usual way of things for these multitudinous ''alfred hitchcock branded'' ghost-edited anthologies. the new english library/four square books-originated anthologies were ghost-edited by peter haining cover art by josh kirby (uncredited, unsigned; attribution ansible.uk/misc/joshlist.html from josh's notes) cover price 5/-, belgium fr 50, france ff 5.60, netherlands fl 3.50, germany (bdr) dm 4.00, switzerland f 4.00, italy life 600, canada $1.25 so should be re-flagged "international" according to respected moderator's rule or not so re-flagged, according to equally well respected moderator's heartfelt plea 160pp. including titles, indica etc. | |
