ppint. 15th Sep 2022		title autotranslates as ''the great mission'', or ''the great commission'', which suggests this is likely a peter cheyney spy novel; it could alternatively be a collection of shorter stories... the first publication of either the english language original, or probably of the romanian translation by cultura nationala, that i've found given is 1946, translator credited for the clusium (also given as clusium & houston) edition is dan dutescu. i've had a couple of looks around, trying to find out more about it online; and it appears to be a translation of one of peter cheyney's espionage novels, set during the second world war.
