ppint. 26th Oct 2023		ace books mmpb first printing, first edition half a classic ''ace double'' with two front covers, contents tête-beché to each other cover art by (frank) kelly freas (signed with his initials in a circle, uncredited) b+w frontispiece by jack gaughan (signed with his jg digraph, uncredited) cover price 60¢ ½ 256pp. including 2 x titles, indicia etc, advertising in-between the double's halves the number-string on the spine, 020-08027-060, is not an sbn nor an isbn of any kind. sfaik it is an abn - an american book number - which was a system incompatible with the sbn and its later further developments - and which lacked any checksum digit, with the cover price in cents in three digits appended doubled with ''crisis on cheiron'' juanita coulson (1967), q.v.
