ppint. 13th Nov 2017		when jack vance was delicately advised by a british fan of the meaning(s) of the word, "wank" (& its derivatives), his response was that he wished he'd known - he'd've had fun making veiled allusions to this, and using it a a plot device or even a major theme in the novel. :-)
