ppint. 18th Dec 2022		new american library signet books imprint mmpb simultaneous fifth and sixth printings sharing merkin-printed covers, new cat#, (new) isbn, new cover art unsigned, uncredited (differs greatly from that on previous signet mmpb printings) cover price ($3.95 canada) • u.s. $2.95 208pp. including titles, indica etc, end p. advertising (so is still the abridged merkin edition) refer to indica publishing history to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed no priority in date of publication established nor liable to be, but canadian-carcassed copies drop one further number from the printing line, identifying them as the sixth printing. the first signet mmpb printings to bear a canadian cover price; though doubtless earlier merkin mmpb printings circulated north of the parallel, the panther books uk p/bs were previously the p/b editions legally published in the uk and circulated in canada as part of the rights panther books/granada publishing held.
