cover art unsigned, uncredited; seen suggested to possibly be by paul callé on stylistic grounds

anc under the price on the front cover indicates american news company, the primary distributor of both galaxy novels and of galaxy magazine, and the sole transcontinental news distributor (til it was bought and comprehensively asset-stripped. see frederik pohl's memoir, ''the way the future was'' (1978 & ff.), q.v.), inter alia.
