ppint. 11th May 2022		hodder & stoughton (?hodder fawcett or similar - check) hodder imprint p/b first printing, may well be the first edition, as i've seen no trace of an earlier h/cvr edition. two known states cover art unsigned, uncredited; still as-yet unattributed sfaik cover price 2'6 in line-drawn box bottom front cover towards spine 128pp. including titles, indicia etc. no priority established, nor liable to be, both variations state first printing 1965.



ppint. 5th May 2019		hodder & stoughton (?hodder fawcett or similar - check) hodder imprint p/b first printing, may well be the first edition, as i've seen no trace of an earlier h/cvr edition. near-identical edition/printing/first edition cover variation: cover art unsigned, uncredited cover price 2/6, aust. 4/-, can. 40¢, n.z. 3/3, s.a. 33c in tiny type in same front cover box, so should be re-flagged "international" according to respected moderator's rule - or not so re-flagged, according to equally well-respected moderator's heartfelt plea 128pp. including titles, indicia etc. no priority established, nor liable to be, both variations state first printing 1965.



ppint. 5th May 2019		manor books mmpb undated° first printing, not first mmpb edition cover art uncredited, unsigned, over-large blow-up of a background detail from some as-yet unidentified inherited piece of art, flashed with large white arrow bearing apparently meaningless declaration "editor's choice s.f."† cover price $1.50 cat# 15313 144pp. including titles, indicia etc. ° - no date of this edition's printing or publication given in the indicia, but it was distributed in (1977 or) 1978. checksum digit of declared isbn10 checks out consistent with isbn rules printed from same typesetting as previous macfadden mmpbs, manor books being the inheritor company and imprint thereof, but no mention of these being made in the indicia publishing history. † - its use on more than one or two manor books mmpbs 1977-1978 may, rather, indicate manor books in fact had no editor . . . ppint. 5th May 2019		macfadden books simultaneous near-identical mmpb first printings, first mmpb edition, sharing merkin-printed covers preceded by the hodder & stoughton hodder paperbacks uk p/b cover art by jack faragasso (signed, also credited on back cover) cover price 60¢ 144pp. including titles, indicia etc. refer to indicia to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed. no priority established, nor liable to be, both stating only "a macfadden book ....... 1970" (this comment is from another edition of this book)
