ppint. 21st Jul 2021		macfadden books first mmpb printing, first p/b edition derivative collection containing 11/15ths of the stories in the 1958 doubleday h/cvr first edition cover art by richard powers (unsigned, uncredited; attributed in ''the art of richard powers'' jane frank (2001)) cover price 40¢ 176pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising month of publication taken from the printing history in the second macfadden mmpb printing. may also exist in near-identical canadadian-carcassed variety intended for distribution north of the parallel, but i've not seen such, nor report of this.



ppint. 9th Apr 2022		manor books mmpb second printing, though implies it is their first in the indicia cover art unsigned, uncredited, still as-yet unattributed sfaik, is of a space-suited and helmeted man wearing gyves (chained leg irons), being pulled by chain attached to manacles; which might in practice prove problematic for the integrity of the spacesuit... cover price $1.25 176pp. including 6pp. titles, indicia, table-of-contents etc; end p. advertising ''bugged!'' donald f. glut (manor books mmpb 1976), q.v. covers not consistently glued true to the book carcass, so after guillotining may not be vertically and horizontally true, and may exhibit a narrow triangular white (& edges of printing ink colours) section at top or bottom of cover with slightly skew-wiff cover art & lettering. ppint. 21st Jul 2021		manor books first mmpb printing, though accounted the third printing as the accounting includes the two macfadden books mmpb printings: manor books was the successor imprint to macfadden books. cover art unsigned, uncredited; sfaik still as-yet unattributed; a small blue bird on a steel android's finger cover price 75¢ 176pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising presumably prepared as the macfadden books third mmpb printing, as the cat# is of macfadden books' cat#s form, with the first two digits indicating the cover price in cents, rather than manor books' form.
