Alistair Taylor was hired by Brian Epstein as his assistant before he managed The Beatles. He eventually became General Manager of Apple, but to the Beatles he was 'Mr Fixit'.

It was he who arranged the getaways from airports or after concerts, eluding crowds of hysterical Beatlemaniacs, he who orchestrated meetings with girlfriends, performed such personal services as shopping, (whether it was a house for George or an island off the Irish coast for John), providing a shoulder to cry on or companionship when one or other of them just wanted a late night talk. It was Alistair Taylor whom Brian Epstein rang when he first entered his suicidal depression.

Taylor worked with the Beatles almost without a break until their split. He witnessed recordings, accompanied them on tour, on holidays, to parties and business meetings. He has a unique story to tell, and it is largely one of the good times: the pranks, the laughter and the sheer exuberance of being with the Beatles throughout their peak.
