ppint. 2nd Aug 2020		seems to've been published after the corgi books p/b, and there was something or other else that struck me as really odd - peculiar for the period - about this sidgwick & jackson h/cvr, but i can't find my notes on it; i've held a review copy of this - in the fantasy centre, 157 holloway road, london - and i can't remember precisely what. it may've had a laminated covered rather than the then normal cloth-covered boards & printed paper d-j, and possibly also been issued without a d-j; or been published in a smaller format h/cvr than was normal for s&j - or something like that - but i really cannot remember what it was. #30 and last of the long-running original anthology series: #1: ''new writings in sf1'' (1964), q.v. for series listing, and links. contains five short stories, three novelelettes and an (unheralded final) introduction to the stories chosen by the editor, ken bulmer. (this comment is from another edition of this book)
