ppint. 17th Jul 2023		eclipse books p/b first printing, first known australian edition cover art unsigned, uncredited°, by jack faragasso (my identification) cover price 90¢ 192pp. including titles, indicia (ha!) etc. no publication date given, only (iirc°°) the original copyright date of 1964 (°° - check); but this p/b is probably from around 1971; and probably not earlier than 9/1971, as that's when the cover art appeared on i. g. green's ''time beyond time'' from belmont publications, new york, q.v.; and jack faragasso is a native new yorker, as in ny, ny, not ny, nz... copies of this turn up secondhand, sometimes as new, in the uk, so it was possibly remaindered here; i do not know whether eclipse books had any official uk distribution. ° - the cover art was further re-used by manor books, inc. on at least three different mmpb titles: ''masters of the maze'' avram davidson (manor books 1976), q.v. ''when next i wake'' ''frank dorn'' (manor books (dated 1978, appeared 1979)), q.v. ''biodroids 2300'' c. m. alexander (manor books dated 1979, appeared 1980)), q.v. it's unsigned and uncredited on all three.
