| ppint. 19th Dec 2023 | sidgwick & jackson p/b fourth printing (declared in publishing history)°, may be fifth, with new cover art by danny flynn (unsigned, credited on back cover) cover price £1.95 (no overseas territories prices) 176pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising bar-code number truncated by too-small field: 9780283986239 90195 still stated internally to be published by sidgwick & jackson †, still with the sidgwick & jackson isbn (and now with sidgwick & jackson bar-code number etc.) but almost entirely apparently a nel p/b externally. sidgwick & jackson ltd. was/were bought by pan macmillan, and the ''published by/in co-operation with'' arrangements presumably determined - or, at least, ceased to be operated - after this printing. ° - amazonuk list/listed a 1987 fourth printing with the previous cover art by tim white: unless examples of this surface in the real world™ - or a convincing facsimile thereof - this must be regarded as existing only in amazonworld™, and having no concrete existence. ‡ † - published in this edition in 1976 by sidgwick & jackson ltd. reprinted 1980, 1983, 1987 ‡ - and a bookcatter discovers such a rare and currently presumédly mythological beast, please would they/you be so good as to closely examine it, and to report in comment on this page: the isbn, bar-code number (if any), cover price(s), the title page logo, and the indicia publishing history in the wording used upon the indicia page on the reverse of the title page. - thanking you/them in advance, - happy christmice!/god yol!/illuminated eid/hannukah/festive non-denominational winterval, riotous yule!/io saturnalia! - love, ppint. | |
