ppint. 18th May 2022		daw books simultaneous mmpb first printings sharing merkin-printed covers; title on cover is: ''city of the beast or warriors of mars'' i.e. the original title is borne as a true subtitle includes new introduction to the 'michael kane' series (nf introduction by the author) cover art by richard hescox (signed, also credited) b+w frontispiece also by richard hescox (signed) cover price $1.75 (canadian-carcassed copies intended for distribution north of the parallel) cover price $1.50 (wholly merkin-printed copies for general distribution) 160pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising refer to indica publishing history to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed no priority established nor liable to be, both state first daw printing, january 1979/123456789 the second, cover price-encoding letter of the cat# was not varied to reflect the canadian cover price this dreadful dereliction was s.o.p. for simultaneous daw books printings whose prices differed.
