 accounted pbk libry's second printing in indicia, with new unattributed cover art, the higher cover price necessitating the new cat# prefix, as these are indicative of the cover price in many mmpb publishers' numbering systems through the end of the seventies.

n.b. each publisher had their own set of letter or digit price code prefixes.

new american library's set was varied by an additional letter prefix for the imprint or client publisher whose mmpb s they produced and distributed - e.g. daw books, inc. mmpbs' were allocated "U" as their publisher's indicatory price code prefix prefix.
