Probably the best biography of John Lennon amongst the many books published in the 12 months following his murder.
Ray Connolly had been a journalist in Liverpool before he joined the London Evening Standard as a columnist and writer on rock music. During this time he was very involved in the daily affairs of the Beatles and write many articles on John Lennon, Yoko Ono and Paul McCartney. Much of this book draws on articles he wrote for the Evening Standard in the sixties and seventies.
