ppint. 10th Aug 2018		ballantine books simultaneous mmpb first printing, first p/b edition almost entirely reprint collection of four novelettes and a short story cover art by richard powers (attributed in "science fiction and fantasy artists of the twentieth century" jane franks (2009), q.v.) cover price 35¢ 152pp? including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising published simultaneously by ballantine books in hardcover cat# H-122, cover price $2.00; cover (d-j) art sharing an enlarged detail from the p/b's cover art.



ppint. 4th Dec 2023		the richard powers cover art is re-used from ''outpost mars'' cyril judd (collaborative pseudonym of c. m. kornbluth, judith merril); dell mmpb 760 (1961), q.v., with - superimposed floating in the air mid-cover - a face, i think by edgar hodges, added (remember to keep an eye out for its source).
