ppint. 9th Feb 2019		first published date of "the commodore at sea" is wrong and should be corrected to 1971, or deleted: this is a retitling of "alternate orbits" (5/1971), q.v. doubled here with "spartan planet" (1968, as "false fatherland"), q.v.; with which it here shares the (single) front cover: i.e. not an " ace double" format mmpb with two front covers and texts printed upside-down to one another.



ppint. 6th Jul 2020		second ace mmpb printing of this double, date taken from locus #249, 10/1981 cover art by paul alexander retained from 1979 first printing, (this comment is from another edition of this book)
