imprint is magnum; launched as an imprint of methuen (eyre-methuen, a.b.p.), became an imprint of methuen paperbacks ltd., which was later reabsorbed back into methuen books ltd.

reprinted 1986 from same typesetting bearing new isbn as a methuen p/b, further differs:

(a.b.p. ltd. - associated british publishers ltd. - later received a totally unsolicited bid for the entire book-publishing mini-conglomerate: though this was rejected, the (still quite largely extended family-owned) group owners decided in the light of how much had been bid for their group of publishers blind, to put abp up for sale. . . end of methuen books hardcover and paperbacks line, including what had once been "my" sf & fantasy list, and which i was still/again involved with, advising the editorial director fiction upon through into its mandarin incarnation - for a while.) (it didn't last a lot longer after she was effectively sidelined by the new owners - the octopus publishing group - and yr hmbl srppnt. ceased to be involved.)
