ppint. 1st Aug 2024		harpercollinspublishers harpertorch mmpb first printing, first merkin p/b edition cover art by chip kidd (? check: it differs from that on the 5/2001 harpercollins h/cvr which is credited to him as designer); it's a silhouette of a black cloaked, hooded, gloved figure on a black horse riding over yellow roman numerals, on a slightly greyish turquoisey-blue background, with a.black vertical band down the spine edge bearing three small boxed carriage clocks; title and author in orange, in mostly lower case (title somewhat randomly) across whole of width of front cover; a yellow disc with pinked edge overlaps the black band onto the background above the horse's tail bearing "celebrating 25 extraordinary years of discworld" in five lines of black type cover price $6.99 382pp. (check) including titles, indicia etc, end pp. include excerpt from "night watch" (2002), q.v. refer to indicia publishing history printing number line to determine which printing is held: the lowest number remaining gives this, as a digit is dropped progressively with each further printing; at least six printings known, the sixth being published in 5/2004; pinked-edge yellow disc omitted from cover of at least one of these later printings (this comment is from another edition of this book)
