ppint. 22nd Mar 2022		ace/stoneshire imprint uk p/b first printing, not first uk p/b edition reprint anthology of five short stories, two novelettes and a novella half of the reprint anthology, ''tales of the uncanny'' ed. kurt singer (1968), q.v. see 1970 sphere books uk p/b ''primary edition'' for the contents of this derived anthology cover art unsigned, uncredited, seemingly stolen from the sphere books first uk edition, q.v. cover price £1.95, $4.50 australia 160pp. including titles, indica (ha!) etc, end pp. there is no reason to believe that this edition was ever circulated for sale via the retail trade in the uk at the cover price save perhaps - very briefly - to the distributing news wholesaler's own direct accounts; lacking any cat#, sbn or isbn, it was not individually re-orderable and was quite possibly only ever distributed as an instant remainder, multiple copies of each title in a carton of assorted remainder p/bs. there is as-yet no report of its ever having been distributed by way of trade as a new book at the cover price indicated in xxxxia either - nor, indeed, anywhere at all. . .
