ppint. 6th Sep 2024		j. m. dent & sons readers union group science fiction book club first printing, not first uk h/cvr edition for sale only to members of the sf book club initially, on a near-inertia sales opt-out basis, then available to members of other readers union book clubs, always by mail-order cover (d-j) art unsigned, uncredited monochrome random black saw-tooth lengths on white (i e. unprinted) ground cover (d-j) price 224pp. including titles, indicia etc, bound with endpapers between covered boards "SFBC" is printed at base of d-j spine renumbered cat# 5009 in the great renumbering™ by david & charles after they bought the readers union group of book clubs from j. m. dent - but as neither cat# was printed on book nor d-j, yr hmbl srppnt. s'spects this is of largely theoretical interest
