From the publisher's website (abridged):

The Beatles - Living In The Eye Of The Hurricane tells the story of Brian Epstein's ambition to get The Beatles to America, even with the words of John Lennon & Paul McCartney ringing in his ears of the quote when they said, "they wouldn’t go to America unless they had a number one record". Brian had tried to get the elusive number one record for his boys but had previously failed with VJ records & Swan, which is well reported in the book.

The Beatles arrived in America on 7 February 1964 - from that day on, the world of Rock N Roll changed forever. The Beatles record, "I Want To Hold Your Hand", became the first US No1 hit for the boys from Liverpool. This book tells the story of their worldwide success.

From Carnegie Hall to Washington, John, Paul, George and Ringo were the centre of the American media - from Radio to TV and appearing in almost every newspaper and magazine. The American fans couldn't get enough of The Beatles. The book also researches the historic Carnegie Hall concert the Beatles held on the 12 February.

After the overwhelming success in the States, a strenuous world tour quickly followed. The book also follows The Beatles on that tour of Sweden, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. Discover facts such as how Ringo was left behind and how George refused to travel without Ringo in the group, putting the whole tour in jeopardy.

After their world tour, The Beatles returned home to a civic reception on the 10 July 1964. The book finds out how The Beatles were feeling on their return; how nervous they all were.

The authors of have interviewed all the key players in this historic and momentous occasion in The Beatles history, travelled to New York and Carnegie Hall and had unlimited, unique access to all the archives which, for the very first time, are published in this book.
