jimess: and thanks. should've started with this...
in this case, there is a subsequent bantam books mmpb thrid printing, cat# H3915, which exists in both the canadadian-carcassed and the wholly-merkin printed variations, and appear to've been distributed simultaneously - as would've been sensible. well, reasonably sensible. . .
- but it still isn't clear here whether there were two variants of the first bantam books mmpb printing, one the simultaneous canadadian-carcassed variant, or there were two separate wholly merkin-printed printings followed by the thrid printing (definitely in two simultaneous varieties, one canadadian-carcassed)...
(yr hmbl srppnt. *thinks* there were two variants of the first printing, with a pre-publication date reprinting of the wholly-merkin printed one being accounted the second printing; but i'm _not_ *_sure_*...)
jimess: ha! - and yes, very nearly. *and* merkin mmpb-publishers don't help by not quite consistently regarding and recording their canadadian-carcassed more-or-less simultaneous first printings intended for distribution north of the parallel as part of their first mmpb printing, then deciding retrospectively they were the second printing - or maybe were not - when/if they do a second, fully merkin-printed, merkin printing - and increase the confusion by ''consistently inconsistently'' regarding the simultaneous/near-simultaneous printing of a canadadian-carcassed printing with this as a) the same second printing as the merkin second printing; b) a different, peculiarly canadadian second printing; c) retrospectawigglilly the fourth printing; or cii) decide to ignore it completely in future, wholly-merkin printed reprintings, but ciii) not ignore it in future canadadian-carcassed printings. . .
appears to've been reprinted before publication (or during month of publication); cat# is retained, and no date given for the stated second printing in the indica.
this is not a canadadian-carcassed first printing sharing covers with the merkin first.

yr hmbl srppnt. *may* still have a copy - i/we stocked this in single step, and maybe again in IMT. (this comment is from another edition of this book)
